Travellers flocked through the airport terminals in April. At 1.8 million passengers, the Easter month became the busiest month at Copenhagen Airport since the pandemic hit two years ago. However, there is still some way to go before traffic is restored to pre-pandemic levels.

The appetite for travel endures into the winter season, as the airlines are operating their winter programmes. There are no less than 228 direct routes out of Copenhagen, including thirteen new routes to destinations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, among other places.

As stated in company announcement of 31 August 2023 the largest airlines and Copenhagen Airports A/S have entered into a charges agreement for the period 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2027.
Biofuel Improves Air Quality
It has a positive effect on air quality when flying on bio-based fuel, also known as SAF, Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The number of ultrafine particles emitted decreases when there is biofuel in the tank. This is the result of an international experiment conducted at Copenhagen Airport.
