Information regarding coronavirus

Copenhagen Airport is closely monitoring the situation regarding a new type of coronavirus, which is believed to have originated in the Chinese province of Hubei.

Hand sanitizer in hand baggage

Due to the coronavirus risk and the Danish health authorities request to use hand sanitizer to reduce transmission, we have adjusted the restrictions for the permitted amount of hand sanitizer in hand baggage. This means that you’re now allowed to bring more than 100 ml. On equal terms with fluid medication, you’re only allowed to bring an amount that by our security personnel are estimated as reasonable for your own use on the specific travel. Furthermore we have put up hand sanitizer stations before and after the Security Checkpoint and around the airport, for all passengers convenience.

In the event of a virus outbreak, Copenhagen Airport follows the instructions of the Danish Health Authority. We are in dialogue with the Danish Health Authority and are prepared if they require our assistance. We also support the Danish Health Authority’s “prevent contagion” campaign by hanging their posters and distributing their information brochures to all travellers arriving from China and Hong Kong.
