CPH keeps waiting times short

In week 23 (the first week of June), the average waiting time for security screening at Copenhagen Airport was 4 minutes and 17 seconds.

A targeted programme, which includes measures such as increased staffing at the security checkpoint, has shortened waiting times at Copenhagen Airport. In week 23, travellers waited an average of 4 minutes and 17 seconds for security screening, seen over the week as a whole. During peak hours from 5:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:00-7:00 p.m., the average waiting time, seen over the week as a whole, was 4 minutes and 13 seconds.

We are very pleased that we succeeded in keeping the average waiting time down even with almost 7,000 more passengers going through security last week said Henrik Peter Jørgensen, VP, Communications at Copenhagen Airports A/S

166,430 passengers through security
In week 23, 166,430 passengers were security screened at Copenhagen Airport; 69.4% waited less than five minutes before reaching the checkpoint, and 99.8% waited less than 15 minutes.

333 passengers experienced a waiting time of more than 15 minutes as it took 15 minutes and 53 seconds on 7 June at 6:30 a.m. for them to reach the checkpoint.

23 daily flights to Bornholm
The People's Meeting ("Folkemødet") will be held in Bornholm in the coming week. This means that on some days late in the week, there will be up to 23 daily flights to Bornholm instead of the usual eight.

"Our domestic programme has a good impact. In the coming week, we will pay special attention to the several thousand additional passengers travelling to Bornholm. We've planned our staffing schedules to accommodate this extra traffic, and we'll do everything we can to keep waiting times short at security short," said Jørgensen.
