Morten Mortensen, Director of Airline Sales & Route Development

What are you most looking forward to about World Routes this year?

Meeting industry friends and colleagues among airlines and airports.

What is your favourite World Routes moment?

The award dinner event is always good fun, and celebrates great achievements.

Annika Liljenberg, Senior Route Development Manager Asia

What’s your favourite World Routes moment?

My favorite World Routes moment was when CPH was awarded Winner of the World Routes Award in Las Vegas in 2013. It was a fantastic evening and an overall fantastic event for CPH. Although it is many years ago, and although we have won other Routes Awards since then, it still stands out as a great moment. It was also at this event that CPH brought Joe & The Juice to World Routes for the first time.

Meeting up with our airline partners, and having some good meetings. And also experiencing Australia and Adelaide, as I have never been there before.

What’s the one thing you think route development professionals should know about CPH?

That we actually serve two countries (Denmark and Sweden, connected by a bridge) and that we have the largest catchment area in Scandinavia.

Strong Nordic metropolis.

Simon Nathan, Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy & Route Development Norwegian, Russia & Americas

What are you looking forward to about World Routes 2019?
I’m really looking forward to catching up with business partners and friends from around the globe. Being able to do this in a city I’ve never visited before, and being able to see something new in the world is also a big plus!

What do you hope to achieve at the conference this year?

I hope to learn. The customer meetings are where we learn what’s going on in their world and what we can do together to grow. I also enjoy the forums, where we can see and hear the opinions of the business as a whole, and understand how people around the world view various issues.

We are building and expanding the CPH Cargo Community to ensure strong continued support to Copenhagen Airport as the biggest air cargo hub in Scandinavia. We deliver detailed market analysis to potential and future Cargo Airlines, as well as supporting our Route Development team with cargo knowledge and market analysis for belly cargo capacity.

What is your favourite World Routes moment?

Last year in Guangzhou we had a very positive meeting with LATAM Cargo. Through autumn 2018 and spring 2019, we have been in close contact with LATAM Cargo based on that meeting, and in May this year, LATAM Cargo announced CPH as a new destination in their European network!
