Throughout 2019, we have focused on making the air freight industry more efficient with the cross-function forum, CPH Cargo Community. This new group has been developed for professionals in the air freight industry based in the Copenhagen catchment area, including shippers within the pharma and biotech industry, airlines, authorities, forwarders, GSAs, and handling companies. The vision is to strengthen the communication, cooperation and development across the entire supply chain together.

Tackling challenges together

By sharing concerns, ideas and solutions, our aim to make our industry more efficient and to create more value for all. Going forward we will facilitate sessions with clear agendas to build frameworks for non-competitive, purely operational forums where the community can take on common and mutual challenges. These meetings will be held as cross-function working groups, giving a broad and versatile perspective on issues from every part of the value chain.

The launch event of the CPH Cargo Community earlier this year saw close to 90 attendees from across the cargo supply chain gather to be a part of the new initiative from Copenhagen Airports. The community were presented with topics such as general development of CPH, the airport’s overall cargo strategy and CEIV Pharma certification processes. Since then the community has been collaborating primarily on Digitalization with a pilot group launched before the summer.
