New SAS route to New York JFK
On February 9th SAS opened its new route to New York, John F. Kennedy International Airport. This is the first time since 1989 that SAS operates a route to New York JFK Airport and is the second New York airport serviced from Copenhagen by SAS. The new route was celebrated with Sliders from Cocks and Cows and beer from Mikkeller, as well as speeches from SAS CEO Anko van der Werff and CPH's Senior Vice President, Christian Poulsen.
Added frequencies and capacity for S23
SAS will operate the route 5 times a week with a three-class Airbus A321LR, to begin with, and then from the summer program of 2023 it will be expanded to 7 weekly flights with a three-class Airbus A330-300.
We congratulate SAS on the new route, and we are happy to see the continued expansion of SAS at CPH.
