Denmark Collection at Copenhagen Airport
CPH has invited the Denmark Collection to come to Copenhagen Airport. Copenhagen Airport is making space available for the aid organisations involved throughout February in one of the areas of the airport which most passengers pass by. Moreover, CPH donates DKK 50,000 to the Denmark Collection.
“The situation in Haiti is so desperate that we must make an effort to help people there. The airport is a busy hub and we do not normally make space available for fundraising for charitable purposes. But this is an extraordinary situation and we have therefore decided to offer aid organisations the opportunity to raise money among the almost 1.5 million people who will be travelling through Copenhagen Airport in February. We have made space available on the balcony of Terminal 3 in an effort to help increase the total amount raised,” said Brian Petersen, CEO, Copenhagen Airports.
On their way to security screening, most passengers travelling out of Copenhagen Airport will pass through the area of Terminal 3 which the airport has made available for the 12 aid organisations behind the Denmark Collection. This ensures maximum exposure to the aid organisations for a whole month at one of the busiest traffic hubs in Denmark. Several organisations have accepted the offer, which solely focuses on aid to Haiti.
In addition to making space available for the aid organisations, CPH has also donated DKK 50,000 to the Denmark Collection.
