Norwegian to launch three new services

Norwegian is going to launch three new direct services out of Copenhagen Airport, to Geneva, Salzburg and Barcelona respectively, with up to three weekly frequencies.

From 25 October, Norwegian will serve Barcelona out of Copenhagen offering three weekly frequencies, and from 28 October, the airline will offer two weekly frequencies to Geneva. The service to Salzburg will start on 12 December with one weekly frequency on Saturdays.

“With these additional three services, we are expanding our European route network to meet the growing demand for flights to autumn and winter destinations. Moreover, we put action behind our plans of expanding our route network out of Denmark,” said Julius Støback of Norwegian.

Easy and convenient transport to ski resorts
The two new services to Salzburg and Geneva make it easy, convenient and inexpensive to travel to some of the most popular ski destinations in Austria and France. Wagrain, the ski destination clearly preferred by the Danes, as well as ski destinations such as Zell am See, St. Johann, Bad Gastein and Kitzbühel are all located close to Salzburg. From Geneva, there is less than two hours drive to well-known ski destinations such as Chamonix, Avoriaz and Megeve.

“The launch of another three routes out of Copenhagen Airport underlines Norwegian’s position as the absolutely biggest low-cost carrier at Copenhagen Airport. During this year alone, Norwegian has opened more than 20 new routes giving passengers more destinations and cheap tickets to choose from,” said Carsten Nørland, VP, Aviation, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
