Better conditions for long-haul passengers
The modernisation of Copenhagen Airport’s Pier C continues. Conditions for departing passengers have been improved even more following the renovation of the departure corridor. Pier C is mainly used for intercontinental flights.
A light and welcoming atmosphere and lots of daylight await passengers at Copenhagen Airport’s Pier C on their way to the United States, Thailand, China or other overseas destinations. The departure corridor on the first floor has been given a face lift that has brought it to the same standard as the rest of the building.
Pier C is mainly used for departures for and arrivals from non-EU destinations, and about a third of the airport’s 21 million passengers flow through the building. From 2007 to 2008, CPH completed a thorough renovation and extension of Pier C.
New surfaces and good views
In the latest renovation, all visible surfaces in the corridor were replaced, apart from the parquet flooring which is only a few years old. Moreover, the technical installations have been renovated, and more windows have been added to make the corridor lighter and more inviting with better views of the airport and aircraft.
The signposting has also been improved through new, functional electronic screens that are integrated in the walls and show departures at the various gates.
