Crazy horses in the transit area

If you are travelling through Copenhagen Airport and like supercars and horse power, you should visit the transit area of Terminal 2. At Copenhagen Airport, glamorous cars such as a Porsche 997 turbo and a Ferrari F430 are on display – and you even have the chance to win one of them.

If you are dreaming of driving a Porsche or Ferrari, you should visit the transit area. Here you will have a chance to see some of the most expensive and luxurious car models in the world.

180 winners to date

The new car display at Copenhagen Airport is a concept developed by “Best of the best”. Travellers can buy a ticket for 250 Danish kroner and can enter the competition for one of the models on display; the lucky winner can also choose from different cars some which have registration tax paid on them. Best of the best has similar displays at other airports such as London

Gatwick North, Birmingham International and London Heathrow Terminal 5.

“The purpose is to give people the opportunity to win their dream car for 250 Danish kroner as well as creating an interesting display of the latest supercars within the airport. To date we have given away over EUR 12,000,000 of supercars to over 180 winners and the company has been established for seven years. We are listed on the London Stock Exchange, and all the cars are fully owned and paid for in advance by the company,” said William Hindmarch, Managing Director of Best of the best.

New models on display every six months

The cars are popular at Copenhagen Airport – especially among male travellers.  One of the persons intrigued by the glossy vehicles is Carsten Hansen from Kolding, Denmark: “I am very interested in cars, and I had a dream as a boy of having a Ferrari in my garage, so I have entered the competition,” Hansen said.

“We have chosen to contract with Best of the best as experience from other airports shows that passengers like the combination of a car display and the opportunity to wind a million-kroner prize. Moreover, the cars are replaced regularly, so there are different models on display in order to match passengers’ different tastes,” said Henrik Busch, director of commercial activities at Copenhagen Airports A/S.

The competitions are determined every fourth weeks, and new models are on display at Copenhagen Airport about every six months.

The two glossy cars are in a temporary location in the transit area next to the large duty- and tax-free store.
