Sterling Airlines to launch Copenhagen-Lisbon service next winter
The Danish winter schedule of Sterling Airlines will be expanded to include a Copenhage-Lisbon service. The airline will be operating two weekly frequencies to the capital of Portugal from 5 February 2009.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer a service to Lisbon beginning in February. So far, there have only been few options of flying direct from Denmark to the beautiful capital of Portugal, and we are therefore pleased to be able to expand the market by offering this new service at a very fair price,” said Michael T. Hansen, Chief Commercial Officer of Sterling Airlines.
”Sterling is CPH’s second-largest customer, which means that Sterling is an important business partner for us and for the future growth of Copenhagen Airport. We therefore look forward to the new Lisbon service, as Lisbon is an attractive destination for many passengers out of Denmark,” said Corinna Lundbæk Pedersen, Vice President Aviation, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
In addition to the Copenhagen-Lisbon service, Sterling will also open a new service from Stockholm to Milan next autumn.

Portugal will be Sterling Airlines' new destination.
