New route from Copenhagen to Bydgoszcz, Poland

Starting on Monday, 7 January 2008, passengers at Copenhagen Airport will be able to fly directly to Bydgoszcz in northern Poland.

Starting on 7 January, it will be possible to fly direct to Bydgoszcz, Poland, from Copenhagen Airport, with Polish airline Jet Air offering this service. There will be two weekly departures from Copenhagen: one on Mondays and one on Fridays. The flying time will be one hour and 30 minutes.

“We look forward to opening the new route between Bydgoszcz and Copenhagen. A growing number of Poles are living and working in Denmark, and NATO has a training centre at Bydgoszcz, so we are pleased to offer our passengers a direct service between Copenhagen and Bydgoszcz. Because Copenhagen is a major hub, we are connecting Bydgoszcz with many more destinations, and this makes the route even more attractive to our passengers. We also hope that Danes will want to visit the beautiful Kujawy region," says Mateusz Kokosiński, a sales and marketing executive for Jet Air.

Brian Petersen, CEO of Copenhagen Airports, also welcomes the new route:

“New routes and a well-developed route network are essential if Copenhagen is to maintain its position as Scandinavia's hub. For this reason, we are pleased that Jet Air is now opening a new route to Poland, making it possible for us to offer our passengers even more destinations out of Copenhagen Airport.”
