Copenhagen Airport opens lounge area for teens

The large popular play area in Copenhagen Airport’s Terminal 2 is no longer just for kids. Now teenagers can also relax in the area, with something to do while waiting for their flights.

There is a cosy corner with large, soft cushions, table football, a Play Station and an X-Box with games for older children. There are plenty of things for teenagers to do now that the airport has opened an area for this age group. This popular play area was formerly targeted at young children, but now there is room for the entire family to relax in the area, which is located at the western end of Terminal 2, on the first floor.

For all ages –adults, too

"We’ve had great success with the play area at the airport. Both parents and children enjoy using the facilities while they are waiting for their flight. We felt there was also a demand from the older children, so we wanted to expand the area to accommodate teenagers as well. The teen area has been very well received; especially the large, soft cushions in the cosy corner have proved to be very popular," said Susanne Frank, passenger manager at Copenhagen Airport.

In the soft, cosy corner, teenagers can listen to their own portable music players, play games on their PC, read or just rest. They can do so while their younger siblings spend time playing with toys, watching children’s TV, etc.

The play and teen areas are open round the clock and are available for free.
