New airline at Copenhagen Airport to open route to Haugesund in Norway
Coast Air’s new non-stop service between Copenhagen and Haugesund, which opens on 6 August, will be the seventh destination in Norway with non-stop services out of Copenhagen Airport.
On 6 August, Coast Air opens a new non-stop service between Haugesund and Copenhagen in an alliance with SAS. Flights will depart from Haugesund at 6:15 am and 4:45 pm and from Copenhagen Airport at 10:30 am and 9:50 pm, and the flight will take 90 minutes.
Copenhagen will be the fifteenth destination for Coast Air, which was founded in 1975 and has its main base at Haugesund, and the new route to Haugesund brings the number of destinations in Norway with non-stop flights from Copenhagen to seven. Norway is already the country with the largest number of weekly flights to and from Copenhagen Airport, accounting for 10% of traffic.
"Haugesund has a population of 32,000. The city is located near the mountains and a fjord, and the destination offers beautiful scenery. This together with Copenhagen’s strong position as a hub for the Norwegian market gives us great expectations to the new route," said Christian Nakskov Petersen, a route developer with Copenhagen Airports A/S.
