New brand at Copenhagen Airport – and in Denmark

On 1 October, Kiehl’s opened its first shop in Denmark, at Copenhagen Airport. Kiehl’s offers a wide range of skin and hair care products which the passengers at Copenhagen Airport can now by as the first in Denmark.

Kiehl’s, which started as an apothecary in New York more than 150 years ago, has opened its first shop in Denmark, at Copenhagen Airport. Earlier this year, the first Starbucks in Scandinavia opened at Copenhagen Airport, and Kiehl’s has now also chosen Copenhagen Airport as the base for its first shop in Denmark.

“We are seeing extensive interest in starting up new shops and restaurants at the airport that are not yet available in Denmark. The airport is considered an attractive location with a large flow of people and where customers look for good shopping experiences,” said Henrik Busch, Vice President, Copenhagen Airports A/S.

At Kiehl’s, which is located as part of the large tax-free shop, customers will find a wide range of products for personal care for the whole family. Kiehl’s products are developed on the basis of the pharmaceutical and medical knowledge that was the background for the pharmacy business. Moreover, many of the company’s products are targeted at an active and healthy lifestyle. This means, among other things, that Kiehl’s most widely used facial cream (the Ultra Facial Moisturizer) was used for the “Everest 88” expedition, the first successful climb of the eastern side of Mount Everest without the use of extra oxygen.
