Check-in already at the Metro station
More and more passengers prefer to check in already before they arrive at the airport. Therefore, passengers can now check in on new self-service kiosks at central hub areas such as by the airport Metro station. All major airlines have decided to offer this service to their passengers. This is part of a large-scale plan implemented to eliminate check-in queues.
At the metro station, more precisely at the end of Terminal 3, there are now two self-service kiosks where passengers can print out both boarding cards and baggage tags. All major airlines are connected to these kiosks.
It means that if you are one of the many business travellers who travel without checked baggage, you can go directly from the Metro station to the security checkpoint. Passengers with checked baggage must first go to their airline’s baggage drop counter in the terminal.
Check-in via mobile phone or the Internet
More and more passengers at Copenhagen Airport use the new self-service opportunities such as check-in via a kiosk, the Internet or their mobile phone.
“We are experiencing that passengers have become very confident users of the self-service options, not least because several airlines have worked very hard to achieve this. The airport is continuously investing in self-service kiosks and collaborates with the airlines and authorities to further develop the technological check-in options such as the Internet and mobile phones,” said Susanne Frank, Passenger Manager at Copenhagen Airports A/S.
The airport expects that within the coming six months, self-service kiosks will also have been installed in selected airport multi-storey carparks and at the Copenhagen Central Station.
