Autumn holiday is a busy period at Copenhagen Airport
The autumn holiday is one of the peak travel periods at Copenhagen Airport as tens of thousands of Danes spend the holiday abroad. That makes for extra busy times at the airport, especially during the days up to the autumn holiday.
In the days up to the holiday period, i.e. from Thursday, 11 October to Monday, 15 October, an extraordinarily large number of departing passengers are expected to fill the airport.

“The days up to the autumn holiday are among the busiest at Copenhagen Airport. Together with our partners, we have made extra efforts to ensure flexible handling of the traffic, but there may be times when passengers will experience waiting times although we try to avoid it. Our experience is that passengers who are well prepared get through the airport faster and easier, and we therefore urge passengers to follow the advice we give on our website, www.cph.dk ,” said Susanne Frank, Passenger Manager at Copenhagen Airports A/S.
At www.cph.dk Copenhagen Airport has assembled good advice on how to get through the airport as quickly as possible. Among other things, passengers

can get tips on how to avoid queues by the check-in desks if they use the popular self-service options. In addition, passengers can find useful information on advance booking of parking space, the airport’s free sms service and the airlines’ recommendations on when to be at the airport.
Assistance before departure
In order to call attention to the things to remember before departure, Green Team members hand out flyers with the five-point checklist on how to get through the airport as quickly as possible. Moreover, the team members are there to assist passengers, for instance at the check-in kiosks or if they have to transfer their toiletries to a plastic bag before security sceening.
