Lower charges for cargo flights out of Copenhagen Airport

On 1 January 2006, the charges for cargo flights from Copenhagen were lowered when Copenhagen Airport – the largest airport in Scandinavia – reduced its take-off charge by 3% and concurrently introduced a cap on the take-off charge for all-cargo flights exceeding 200 tonnes to the effect that all-cargo flights do not pay any take-off charge for the part of the take-off weight exceeding 200 tonnes.

“Copenhagen Airport is making great progress as a cargo hub these years in terms of increased volumes of cargo, more departures and a number of new destinations. This trend will be strengthened even further with the lower charges for all-cargo flights,” commented Cargo Manager Lars Korup.

In 2006, the take-off charge is DKK 63.25 per 1,000 kg or part thereof, rising to DKK 63.90 on 1 January 2007 and DKK 64.55 on 1 January 2008. The cap on charges for flights exceeding the above mentioned take-off weight applies throughout the period 2006-2008.
