Mobile café for busy passengers
You have completed your check-in and gone through security and are on your way to the gate where your flight is ready for boarding. Suddenly you feel thirsty, but you forgot to buy a bottle of water before you left the transit area with its many cafés and kiosks. A sandwich would also have been nice before your flight, but do you have time to go back to the terminal…?
Many travellers have experienced the problem, and Copenhagen Airport has now found a solution: The to:go car – a small electric car designed as a mobile café with freshly made food and beverages ready to take along or eat on the spot.
The to:go car will be near the various gates at the airport at different times of the day, depending on where the largest number of passengers is at the specific time of the day. The mobile café offers a simple range of freshly made sandwiches, fresh Danish pastry, snacks, hot coffee and cold beverages.
“Passengers at the airport are increasingly demanding food and beverages to go, and we have increased the range of these products at our restaurants, cafés and bars in the past couple of years,” said Shopping Centre Manager Kenneth Guldbjerg of Copenhagen Airports A/S.
“With the new to:go car, we also cater to the demands of passengers who might not have remembered or might not have had time to buy a cup of coffee or a sandwich whilst in the terminal area,” the Shopping Centre Manager said.
