New low-cost service to Spain

Air Berlin is going to launch a non-stop service from Copenhagen to Mallorca – with onward connection to 16 destinations in Spain and Portugal.

Next spring, there will be new options for direct flights from Copenhagen to Mallorca, one of the Danes’ preferred holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, with onward connections to a large number of destinations in Spain and Portugal.

On 30 March 2007, Air Berlin, the third largest low-cost airline in Europe, will launch a new non-stop service with daily flights to Palma de Mallorca, which is one of Air Berlin’s main hubs.

Connections to the mainland

From Palma, Air Berlin offers connections to 16 destinations in Spain and Portugal – including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Alicante, Malaga, Seville, Lisbon, Porto and Faro.

The flights will leave Copenhagen for Palma every day at 5.35 am (Saturdays at 4.50 am), and the flights from Palma to Copenhagen will leave at 9 pm. The flying time is approximately three hours.

The German-based low-cost airline has operated flights from Copenhagen to Berlin and Düsseldorf since the spring of 2006.

"Many Danish passengers already use our connections to Mallorca via Germany, and we therefore see great potential in a non-stop service," said Sales Manager Carsten Kröger of Air Berlin.
