Live music by the baggage belt

CPH celebrates the Copenhagen Music Week by having bands and DJs playing live in the baggage reclaim area of Copenhagen Airport.

Copenhagen is host to this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards on 2 November 2006, and during the week leading up to the huge show, the Copenhagen Music Week focuses on the international potential of the Copenhagen music scene with around 100 concerts around town.

The Copenhagen Music Week targets international industry people and about 500 journalists who will be in Copenhagen for the MTV awards.

The guests will have the opportunity to sample the events as soon as they land at the airport. From Monday, 30 October to Thursday, 2 November 2006, passengers will be welcomed to Copenhagen and the Music Week by DJs and bands performing live in the baggage reclaim area. In addition, there will be a DJ in the departure hall of Terminal 3 on Friday, 3 November, when many of the guests will be at the airport to travel home.

“With the MTV show, the international music industry will focus on Copenhagen, and we would like to support this at the airport. We look forward to providing entertainment to arriving passengers in collaboration with the Copenhagen Music Week,” said Passenger Manager Susanne Frank of Copenhagen Airports A/S.
