Budget flights from Sweden to the Continent via Copenhagen
It has become easier for passengers from central Sweden to fly low cost to a large number of destinations in Europe via Copenhagen Airport.
A new partnership between regional Swedish airline Skyways and low-cost airline Sterling now offers passengers the opportunity to book their entire journey on the Skyways website and to start out from their local airport.
From the local airports in Norrköping, Linköping, Örebro or Karlstad, passengers will fly Skyways to Copenhagen Airport to connect to Sterling, which flies to more than 20 destinations in Europe.
The new ticket concept is called Skyways Continental and, as is known from other low-cost tickets, fares are determined by supply and demand and change on an ongoing basis. The earlier you book your trip, the lower the fare.
Partnership strengthens Copenhagen’s position as a hub
Copenhagen Airport is pleased about the unique partnership between Sweden’s largest regional airline and Scandinavia’s leading low-cost airline.
“The partnership will benefit passengers from central Sweden who will get easier access to most European destinations. Moreover, it strengthens Copenhagen Airport’s position as Scandinavia’s key aviation hub,” said Merete Rønde, Passenger Director, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
Copenhagen Airport Kastrup has been rated Europe’s best airport for the fourth consecutive year. Last year, the total number of passengers was 19 million.
