The construction of car park P10 is well under way, and the new facility will be completed by the end of September. The new seven-storey car park will have 1070 parking spaces, bringing the total number of parking spaces at Copenhagen Airport to about 8500. |
“The demand for parking at the airport is booming. In 2000 we had just over four million departing passengers, i.e. passengers starting their journeys from Copenhagen. This number had increased to almost six million last year. A large number of these passengers demand parking at the airport, and we are therefore continuously expanding our parking facilities,” said Jens-Erik Engelbrecht, Strategic Manager at Copenhagen Airport’s Real Estate Department.
Skanska is the contractor on the 23000 square metre project which will be finished by late September, which is close to the autumn school break – a peak period for Lufthavnsparkeringen A/S, the operator of the parking concession. P10 will be located to the east of Terminal 3.
