The airport’s busy days

Check the summer traffic at www.cph.dk before you travel.

The summer holidays are fast approaching, and for tens of thousands of Danes, they will begin at Copenhagen Airport, which will be extra busy in the next few days and weeks with up to 80 thousand passengers a day.

If you are planning to be one of those travellers at the airport this summer, click here to see how busy the airport will be on the day of your trip. We’ll tell you how many passengers we are expecting, the times of day we will be especially busy, and whether there are any special conditions you should be aware of.

We also have good advice for you on parking, checking in, security checkpoints and other practical tips for you on your departure day at the airport.

Extra service

We will have extra staff at the airport throughout the summer to help inform and guide passengers on the busiest of days. It’s easy to recognize our service staff: they’re the ones in the lime green T-shirts with our “CPH” logo on them.

To help prevent long queues at the security checkpoints, Copenhagen Airport has set up an extra entrance to the transit area, so passengers leaving from the international terminals now have three different entrances to choose from, with a total of 10 individual checkpoints.

New electronic screens have also been installed to tell you how long the wait in line is at each of the three entrances, so if the queues are long at one checkpoint, you can go to one of the other two instead.
