Europe’s largest 7-Eleven at Copenhagen Airport

7-Eleven     Copenhagen Airport never sleeps. Aircraft take off and land round the clock at Copenhagen Airport, and more than 50,000 passengers pass through the airport terminals every day. Now the airport has a 24-hour service store.

Here passengers, meeters and greeters and the 22,000 staff working at the airport can buy light meals, hot and cold drinks, groceries, non-prescription drugs and other convenience products.

On 18 March, 7-Eleven opened its largest store to date in Europe. The 200 square metre store at Copenhagen Airport is located in the old arrivals area connecting Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

The store is also the first of a new generation of 7-Eleven stores in Denmark with an even larger range of fresh food and beverage products – from breakfast rolls and coffee to sandwiches and hotdogs. In its concept, the new store is closer to a deli and café than a traditional convenience store, which fits well with its location in an international traffic hub, where most customers are on the go.

Round-the-clock services

“We are pleased to welcome the first 24-hour service store at Copenhagen Airport. The new 7-Eleven represents a major improvement of the service available to passengers, who can now buy food and beverages no matter what time of the day they are travelling,” comments Henrik Busch, vice president and head of the Commercial Department at Copenhagen Airports.

He also points out that the new store offers an opportunity to stock up on groceries for the empty fridge at home for passengers arriving at times when normal grocery stores are not open or who just want convenient shopping on their way back from a holiday or business trip.

By the way, the 7-Eleven store at the airport is the first 7-Eleven store in Denmark that is not located on a corner.
