New low-cost services from Copenhagen to Paris and Prague

Two of Europe’s most popular capitals, Paris and Prague, will soon get low-cost services from Denmark for the first time.

Sterling

From 31 March, Sterling will offer a Copenhagen-Paris service once a day on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights will go to the Beauvais Airport north of Paris.

At the airport, special busses will be ready to transfer Sterling passengers to the city, making door-to-door transport times fully competitive with other Paris services.

The start-up date for the service to Prague could be 1 April, as Sterling expects to receive approval from the Czech authorities to start up flights to the capital a month before the Czech Republic becomes a member of the EU, otherwise, the service will start up on 2 May. The service to Prague will offer flights once a day on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Head of Copenhagen Airports Airline Relations Department, Trille Tang Dalsgaard, expresses her satisfaction with the new low-cost services:

“We have long been working to get a low-cost carrier on the route Copenhagen and Paris-Beauvais and welcome the new service. Both Paris and Prague are obvious destinations for low-cost carriers as both cities appeal very much to leisure travellers. The new low-cost service to Prague breaks the ground for low-cost services to eastern Europe, a market which we believe holds a huge potential.
