Øresund bridge to be closed temporarily on 6 October

The Øresund bridge will be closed for all car and bus traffic from 8 pm to about 10 pm on 6 October 2004, due to a large-scale emergency drill that will be held in the Øresund tunnel. Train services across the bridge will operate to schedule.

Emergency drills are held on this scale once every four years to ensure a consistently high degree of preparedness; they involve police as well as rescue and hospital staff from both Denmark and Sweden.
