Maersk Air to open 11 routes out of Copenhagen

Three out of the 11 routes, Bordeaux, Marseilles and Toulouse, are new destinations out of Copenhagen Airport. From 29 March, Maersk Air will have two weekly flights to these three destinations. Moreover, Maersk Air now also has services to Malaga, Madrid, Mallorca, Alicante, Gran Canaria, Nice, Lyon and Paris.

Maersk Air will be opening a total of 11 new routes out of Copenhagen Airport, and in this connection, the airline is launching a brand new concept allowing passengers to choose the ticket category and seat size themselves. Just as in the cinema, at Maersk Air you can now book into the seat row you want.

Do you want small, medium, large or x-large? The fare increases in step with the size of the seat.

“Maersk Air's pricing and the very flexible rules for name change, change of departure time and refunds are going to challenge and change the ways we think and act in the airline industry. Our fair prices and fixed trade-up supplements for the various ticket categories and the fact that our customers’ only pay for what they choose, demonstrates our strong focus on the customer,” comments Maersk Air’s Managing Director Finn Ølund.

The routes will be operated using a Boeing 737-700 seating 132 passengers. Maersk Air is the first Danish airline to offer passengers seat selection already when they book their tickets.
