Most efficient airport in Europe

Copenhagen Airports A/S has been named the most efficient airport in our part of the world. The airport was awarded the title of 'Europe’s Most Efficient Airport' this past weekend at a conference held in Turkey by the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS).

The awarding organisation, the ATRS, is an academic forum consisting primarily of professors from universities all over the world. Working out which airport is the most efficient is generally done by comparing how much each airport can get out of its production apparatus.

"Copenhagen Airport has often received awards for being among the world's best in passenger satisfaction. We are very pleased to receive this award as Europe's most efficient airport, because it shows that being the best and being the most efficient aren't incompatible goals. It shows we're right in believing that it pays to provide a high level of service and good quality to our passengers and collaborative partners," says CPH Vice President Mogens Kornbo, who was in Istanbul to receive the award.

Atlanta won the prize as the world's most efficient airport; Vancouver took home the award for North America and Hong Kong for the Asian category.
