New service between Copenhagen and Palanga/Klaipeda
Swedline, the Swedish airline, is opening a new route on 7 April, offering daily departures from Copenhagen Airport to Palanga/Klaipeda in Lithuania via Ronneby, Sweden.
Talking about the new service, Swedline CEO Sievert Anderson said: “The Baltic region is a strategically important market for us. With Lithuania becoming a member of the EU from next year, we see a growing need for travel to and from the rest of Europe. Copenhagen is the perfect hub for such travel,” says Anderson.
The Palanga/Klaipeda airport has a catchment area spanning western Latvia, Lithuania and the Kaliningrad region. The new route will be served by a SAAB 340 aircraft which carries up to 33 passengers.
