New routes and extra frequencies in SAS’s new winter programme
SAS opens two new routes and adds frequencies on routes to Bangkok, Berlin, Stockholm Bromma, Manchester, Poznan and Prague. “The new routes are excellent evidence of how we in SAS work on optimising our production and making it more effective. By improving the production we have freed capacity thus we can open these new routes without adding new aircraft to the fleet. As we have lowered our costs we can now start flying to destinations where we previously could not achieve profitability – which we believe to be able to now, tells Susanne Larsen, CEO, Scandinavian Airlines in Denmark.

Kristiansand
”With three daily flights in each direction the route serves both business and leisure travellers with errands in Copenhagen or Kristiansand as well as offering good connections to European and overseas destinations via Copenhagen”, says Signe Adamsen, Route Manager in SAS. The route will be served with a Q400 with capacity for 72 passengers and the flight time will be one hour.
Bologna
Bologna was over the summer served by SAS’s low cost company Snowflake with two weekly frequencies, but will be replaced on 3 November by a SAS product where passengers can choose from five daily departures (Monday to Friday). Thus, departure time from Copenhagen Airport will be at 11:50 a.m. arriving in Bologna at 13:55. The return flight leaves Bologna at 14:35 and arrives in Copenhagen at 16:45.
