British Airways starts new route from Manchester to Copenhagen

Starting October 26, British Airways will strengthen its Scandinavian network from Manchester with the launch of a new double daily service to Copenhagen.

The route will be operated by British Airways CitiExpress, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways and operates within the UK and Europe, from a number of UK regional airports.

With its early morning departure, it will be the first flight of the day to the Danish capital from Manchester. A return flight in the evening also allows business travellers at least eight hours in Copenhagen without the need for a night-stop.

The new service to Copenhagen will begin on October 26, 2003 and the lead-in return fares start at £139, including all taxes and airport charges.

David Neill, British Airways CitiExpress head of network development, said: “Scandinavia is a key market for us, both for business passengers and for leisure travellers.  Copenhagen is an important city with regard to the trade links with the North of England but it is also a vibrant and cosmopolitan alternative for people looking for a city break destination with a difference.”
