Foundation laid for new tax free shop
The bearing structure of Copenhagen Airport’s new shopping centre is now in place. This is the first step in the expansion of the existing tax free shop, which will almost double in size. The shop is currently 1,400 sq.m., but when finished in May 2002, the new 2,630 sq.m. shop will be one of the largest tax free shops in the world.

Vilhelm Lauritzen's old airport terminal receives award
The Association for the Beautification of the Capital today awarded its 2001 diploma to Copenhagen Airport's Vilhelm Lauritzen Terminal, which was build in 1939. The diploma was awarded for both the relocation and reconstruction of the terminal.

Copenhagen Airport outperforms competitors
While the number of airline passengers in Europe was down by more than 10% in October, Copenhagen Airport recorded a 6.6% decline compared with the same month last year.

Before, Internet access was possible only for passengers with access to the airport’s business- and first-class lounges. Copenhagen Airport now offers Internet access that can be used by all passengers.

Newcastle International Airport obtains credit rating
Newcastle International Airport Limited of which Copenhagen Airports A/S owns 49% has by Standard & Poor's been given a long-term credit rating of BBB+ with a stable outlook.

Contents of suspicious suitcase harmless
At 8.58 this morning, Copenhagen Airports A/S identified a suspicious suitcase which led to an evacuation of parts of the airport. A press conference was held at Copenhagen Airport a short while ago, when it was announced that the contents of the suitcase were completely harmless.

New agreement on the operation of duty-free shops at Copenhagen Airport
Copenhagen Airports A/S and The Nuance Group today entered into a new five-year agreement on the operation of duty-free sales at Copenhagen Airport (CPH). Taking effect on 1 March 2002, the agreement comprises the operation of one main shop and five smaller satellite/specialty shops.
