The basic shape of Terminal 3 was inspired by an aircraft wing, as if to lead the thoughts of arriving passengers to the journey to come. Designed by the Vilhelm Lauritzen firm of architects and made of glass, steel, aluminium and granite, Terminal 3 was built in 1998. |

4. Terminal 3, designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen AS Designed by the Vilhelm Lauritzen firm of architects, construction of Terminal 3 was completed in 1998. The impressive dual row of 22-metre-high columns that run through the building make way for light flowing in through the skylights. |

5. The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel The building has 12 storeys above the ground floor and is 45 metres high. Designed by architectural firm Vilhelm Lauritzen AS in 2001, the hotel is located at one end of Terminal 3, which was also designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen AS. The 375 rooms of the hotel are in the four towers surrounding the hotel atrium. |

6. The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel The lobby of the Hilton Copenhagen Airport with the Hamlet Restaurant in the background. Made of steel, glass and wood, the stairway to the balcony is the first part of the way to the 12 storeys above the ground floor. There are meeting and conference facilities on the first floor. |

7. Pier A Holm & Grut A/S are the architects behind Pier A, which was refurbished in 1995. The building has a pitched roof structure which features aluminium roof elements shaped like aircraft wings. |

8. Eastern rotunda Pier A's eastern rotunda has a labyrinthine floor mosaic in black and white Italian marble created by artist Jørn Larsen in 1998. Pier A connects Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. |

14. The Ship by Holm & Grut When Denmark joined the Schengen system in 2001, the terminal area at Pier C was extended to include this beautiful building designed by architects Holm & Grut. Part of the upper layer of the ceiling was cut out and an ellipse of glass installed. |
