Expanded several times

Terminal 1 consists of seven interconnected pavilions and is therefore called "The Seven Small Homes". The first part of the domestic terminal, now called Terminal 1, which contains Gates 0-5, opened in February 1969. The terminal has been expanded over the years, most recently in 1985.

 

The newest addition to Terminal 1, Gate 6, opened in the autumn of 1989. It is made up of six-metre long modules with a total facade length of 197 metres. Gate 6 forms part of the airport noise shield.
