Employee Shares
In connection with the listing of the shares on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in 1994, Copenhagen Airports acquired some of its own shares for the purpose of introducing an employee shareholder programme.
The employee shares were offered for subscription at a price of DKK 105 in April 1994. About 80% of the eligible employees, about 650 employees, consequently became shareholders in the company. A total of 82,000 shares (DKK 8,200,000) were blocked until the end of 1999.
In November 1996, following the Danish government’s share sale in 1996, the company issued 50,000 new shares (nominal value of DKK 5 million) as employee shares at a price of DKK 105. A total of 9,050,000 shares were blocked until the end of 2001.
In November 2000, after the Danish government’s share sale in 2000, the company issued another 50,000 new shares (nominal value of DKK 5 million) as employee shares at a price of DKK 105. These shares are blocked until 1 January 2006.
In 2005 CPH’s supervisory board decided to use 24,000 shares of the holding of own shares to establish a new employee share programme. The company’s employees were each offered 15 shares at a price of DKK 105. These shares are blocked until 1 January 2011.
