Copenhagen Airport is the largest traffic hub in Scandinavia with 20 million passengers annually.
The fact that Copenhagen Airport is a traffic hub means that there are hours when the airport is more busy than others. At certain times of the day, there are many flight arrivals from various destinations. Aircraft are prepared for the next flight, and passengers change flights and travel on to new destinations. At other times of the day – outside these peak hours – the airport is quieter.
To see what ‘rush hour’ looks like at the airport, you can watch during the following hours (Central European Time):
9 am – 11 am
1 am – 4 pm
6 pm – 8 pm
9 pm – 10 pm
What can you see in our web cameras?
The web cameras are strategically located to give you a good view of activities mainly on the apron. The apron is the area the aircraft use to taxi to and from the runways.
Copenhagen Airport has three runways with a capacity of up to 83 take-offs or landings per hour.
The area you can see through the web cameras is just a small part of the airport. Its total area is 11.8 square kilometres, or 136 times the size of Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens.
