Refund of duty-free purchases
All passengers can shop duty-free at Copenhagen Airport as before the new rules on carry-on baggage came into force. However, as a new practice, you will receive all products consisting of liquids and the like in a sealed bag. As a passenger, you must ensure that the bag remains sealed and unopened throughout your trip.
If you are returning on the same day and have the bag in you carry-on baggage, it must remain sealed and unopened during your return trip as well. If you have followed this rule and your purchases are, nevertheless, seized by security staff at another airport, Copenhagen Airport guarantees that you will get a refund of the money spent on your purchases. Therefore, please remember to ask for a receipt when you pay for your duty-free goods and for documentation that your purchases have been seized, which must be presented to get a refund.
If your purchases have been seized, you must submit your claim and documentation for your loss to Copenhagen Airport at the following address: Copenhagen Airports A/S, Attn: Compensation and Insurance , Lufthavnsboulevarden 6, DK-2770 Kastrup, Denmark.
