Smoking at the airport

Smoking is not permitted in the terminal areas of Copenhagen Airport.

The airport’s lease-holders decide whether smoking is permitted within their own areas, i.e. lounges, meeting facilities, car rental areas and travel agencies.

Outdoor smoking is permitted in front of the terminal outside the marked areas on the ground. There are prohibition zones in front of all entrances marked with white paint and pictograms indicating “No Smoking”.

The smoking of electronic cigarettes at Copenhagen Airport is only permitted in the airport’s smoking areas. It can be difficult both for fellow passengers and airport personnel to distinguish between normal cigarettes and electronic cigarettes. We have chosen this solution to avoid the unfortunate situation of a passenger who smokes electronic cigarettes being mistakenly accused of violating the airport’s smoking policy.
