Management Philosophy
Good management is necessary to produce, retain, and attract ambitious and responsible employees with a high degree of willingness to change.
Management's basic ability to practice leadership is also the single most crucial factor in a company achieving success. For this reason, the following philosophy of management has been formulated to support our vision for both HR and CPH as a whole.
One implication of CPH's management philosophy is that all our managers must demonstrate the following qualities.
A positive view of people
This implies the following basic attitudes:
-
Employees want responsibility, and they can handle it.
-
Employees have ideas and views that have value.
-
Employees want to be respected and taken seriously.
-
Employees want to know whether they are doing good or bad work.
-
Employees make mistakes, but they learn from their mistakes
Business responsibility
This can be divided into financial responsibility, staff responsibility and production responsibility:
-
Financial responsibility
A manager runs his/her area in a financially rational manner.
A manager increases cost-consciousness in his/her subordinates.
A manager ensures that the department contributes to CPH's general strategy.
A manager continually contributes to a general process of improving efficiency.
-
Staff responsibility
A manager creates a good working environment within his/her field.
A manager ensures the development of his/her subordinates so that they can perform current and future assignments satisfactorily.
A manager delegates work and responsibility.
A manager praises and criticises immediately after the fact.
A manager involves his/her subordinates.
-
Production responsibility
A manager informs his/her subordinates about general goals and strategies.
A manager sets goals and plans the current and future work to be done in the department.
A manager follows up on work assignments and projects.
