CPH as a Workplace

Please note that even though we are an international airport, the majority of our customers are Danish or Scandinavian. Due to this, and security reasons, all jobs at CPH require that you speak, understand and read Danish fluently.

Good reasons to work at Copenhagen Airports:

We have enough energy to think ahead

"Copenhagen Airports (CPH) is a healthy, well-run and sound company – an advantage that gives you enough energy to think about real development and progress."
(Irma Lis Jensen, Terminalservice)

CPH is a listed limited company with a share capital of DKK 833 million. More than 90 per cent of our employees hold shares in the company. Through targeted management, CPH has been able to develop its employees and core competencies to a level that makes it well prepared both to improve its principal business – running its two airports at Kastrup and Roskilde – and to move into the global market for airport operation.

We have no two days alike

"CPH gives us challenges in an everyday working life filled with activity. No two days are alike when you deal with so many different people."
(Marianne Rydam, Environmental Department)

We take our starting point in each individual employee

"I really think the company and my colleagues treated me well during the entire time I was sick, and the contact between my workplace, me and my family was good."
(Employee from OC & Havnekontor)

With a staff of 1700, we are a society in ourselves, with the same joys and sorrows as the world around us. Thus personal crises, substance abuse problems, dismissals, illness and death are not taboo at CPH. We want to help on the basis of a fundamental respect for each individual, and give them the time and space they need when life hurts. Our aim is to help each person move on in life, and we use the resources that are necessary.

We get along well with each other

"Colleagues and business associates are friendly and forthcoming."
(Jørgen Christophersen, Ejendomme/Teknik)

CPH has 1700 employees, but 22 thousand people work at the airport. This means that many CPH employees have a large network of colleagues and other people they work together with at the airport.

We have guidelines, not restrictive rules

"A relationship of trust is built up when we employees can safely ring up and say how we feel. We've seen, you know, that solutions can be found. A workplace should show through its actions that they don't want to fire you just because you're not 20 years old anymore."
(Airside Support worker)

What's right for one person may not be right for another. As a company with so many different job functions, we at CPH avoid "package solutions" for our employees. Instead, we try to open doors to flexible solutions that can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual and the company. That is why we don't believe in rules, but in guidelines – ethics and senior employee policy guidelines, for example – that allow us to find good individual solutions.

We live in an international atmosphere

"Teary-eyed goodbyes, restlessness, anticipation, stress, waiting, relaxation and happy reunions: The heartbeat of the whole world, all in one place."
(Christian Danielsen, Events Department)

In 2004, CPH served 19 million passengers. And then there are all the others: those saying goodbye, welcoming arrivals or taking a guided tour of the airport. From CPH you can fly to 119 different destinations with 60 different airlines.

We have employee benefits

CPH offers a number of employee benefits, e.g.  exercise facilities, a cafeteria, a wellness scheme, discounts on air travel, training programmes, both professional and personal development, and clubs for sports, cultural and other activities.
