East Area
The East Area is specifically zoned for cargo, catering, office, storage and workshop companies.
The areas are leased to airport-related companies and are used for other activities that do not have to be situated near the terminal area. This is where CPH’s veterinary centre is situated, right next to cargo handling terminals, distribution warehouses and airline kitchens. The Danish Customs and Excise Authority is also represented in an East Area building where customs clearance goes on 24 hours a day.
Development opportunities in the area:
In conjunction with the construction of the fixed link (bridge and tunnel) across Øresund Sound between Denmark and Sweden, CPH purchased a large, reclaimed piece of land (420,000 m²) along the sound coast.
The area is CPH's largest development area. Up to 220,000 m² of aviation-related office, storage, distribution and production facilities may be built in this area.
Teh Eastern area is centrally located at a transport hub with direct connections to the airport, motorway, the Øresund bridge and railway system. A new initiative for the area is CPH Cargo City. A planned multi-tenant building for logistic purpose. It will be possible to lease smaller storage- and administrative facilities all according to requirements. Further details about CPH Cargo City are available by clinking the link on the left.
CPH is responsible for developing the infrastructure, project development and construction to companies that wish to settle in the area with their own facilities.
