Runways

The runway system consists of two parallel main runways (04L-22R and 04R-22L) and a cross runway (12-30). The cross runway is only used when special wind and weather conditions make it necessary for flight safety reasons. About 98% of all take-offs and landings thus take place on the two main runways, which have equipment allowing landing even under extremely poor visibility conditions (CAT 3). The cross runway is equipped for landing under poor visibility conditions (CAT 2).
