More easyJet flights to Berlin
easyJet increases the number of daily frequencies from Copenhagen to Berlin from one to two. The airline has doubled the number of its flights out of Copenhagen in one year.
The service between Copenhagen and Berlin is so successful that easyJet now doubles the number of daily frequencies from one to two.
“Berlin is one of the absolute favourite city destinations among Danish travellers. We are now meeting this demand as part of our ongoing general market expansion in Scandinavia,” said Thomas Haagensen, Regional General Manager of easyJet in the Nordic Region.
Number of frequencies doubled in one year
“Our business segment is also growing steadily, and they naturally demand greater flexibility in terms of number of flights. The additional daily frequency is thus a clear improvement of the product we offer our business passengers together with features such as online check-in, unlimited weight of carry-on baggage and speedy boarding.”
With two daily flights to Berlin as well as the routes to Milan and London Gatwick, which opened in the autumn and just after the turn of the year respectively, easyJet has doubled the number of frequencies out of Copenhagen from four to eight a day in just one year.
Fantastic growth
“We have seen dramatic growth among the low-cost airlines at Copenhagen Airport in recent years, and we are pleased to be able offer both additional destinations and additional frequencies to passengers. This strengthens Copenhagen Airport’s position as the hub of Scandinavia, and the increase of the number of daily frequencies to Berlin will be attractive to the many leisure passengers as well as the growing number of business travellers who commute between Copenhagen and Berlin and who need flexibility and more daily flights,“ said Carsten Nørland, VP Aviation, Copenhagen Airports.
The additional daily flight between Copenhagen and Berlin will be launched on 2 November 2009. Additional information is available at easyJet.com.
