New cargo service to Chicago and Dallas

Singapore Airlines Cargo is expanding operations out of Copenhagen Airport with a new cargo service to the United States.

A new cargo service out of Copenhagen Airport to the United States was launched last Saturday, 5 September, when Singapore Airlines Cargo opened its Copenhagen-Chicago-Dallas service.

The airline uses Boeing 747-400F aircraft with a capacity for 110 tonnes of cargo, and departures are every Saturday at 5.50 pm.
“The new Singapore Airlines Cargo service to Chicago and Dallas is the only cargo service from Scandinavia to the United States with main-deck capacity to carry large shipments with a height of up to three metres. This provides new opportunities for Scandinavian and northern European export businesses and helps strengthen Copenhagen Airport's position as an important air cargo hub,” said Carsten Nørland, VP for Aviation at Copenhagen Airports.

Singapore Airlines Cargo already operates four weekly frequencies on the Copenhagen-Singapore service using Boeing 747 cargo aircraft.
