Four new Sterling routes
Starting this summer, passengers at Copenhagen Airport will be able to fly direct to the Italian cities of Naples, Olbia (on Sardinia) and Trieste and to Varna in Bulgaria when Sterling begins serving these four new destinations.
Sterling has just published its programme for this coming summer, and among its destinations are four new ones out of Copenhagen Airport: popular vacation spots in Italy and Bulgaria.
Great deal of potential in new routes
"We are happy to see Sterling getting ready for summer, also by establishing even more routes out of Copenhagen Airport. Sterling is the airport's second-largest customer, so this clearly has a positive effect on us. And it also gives Danes who want to travel abroad many more options," says Copenhagen Airports CEO Brian Peterson.
The Naples route has been on Copenhagen Airport's list of potential new routes for a long while: it is expected to serve just under 9000 passengers a year. A list of the top 25 non-serviced routes is available at www.cph.dk.
More flights to popular holiday destinations
"We are pleased to launch four new, exciting summer destinations for travellers from Copenhagen Airport. We have great expectations to our summer programme for next year: it's the biggest one in Sterling's history. It opens whole new doors for Danes, who can now travel inexpensively to cities ranging from Edinburgh in the west to Varna in the east. And the cheap airline tickets allow travellers to spend more on good food and more experiences on their holiday," says Sterling Airlines Commercial Director Michael T. Hansen.
There will be two weekly departures to Naples, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There will also be two weekly flights – on Wednesdays and Saturdays – departing Copenhagen Airport for Olbia, and a scheduled flight to Trieste and Varna every Saturday.
