SkyEurope to start up new service to Vienna
SkyEurope is going to launch a new service from Copenhagen Airport to Vienna this autumn.
On 28 October 2007, SkyEurope opens a new service between Copenhagen Airport and Vienna. The aircraft to be used on the service are brand new Boeing 737-700s seating 149 passengers. The service will have four weekly frequencies with departure from Vienna at 11.05 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The flights from Copenhagen will depart on the same days at 1.20 pm. The flying time is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
“We look forward to starting up our new route between Vienna and Copenhagen, and to offer passengers low-fare tickets,” said Jason Bitter, CEO, SkyEurope.
“Competition among European airports has intensified substantially in recent years. We are therefore very pleased to offer passengers yet another service to Vienna, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the Austrian capital’s many cultural sights. City breaks are becoming more and more popular among Danish passengers, and Vienna is certainly a very attractive city to visit. We expect that the increase in capacity will attract more passengers as we have seen for other European destinations,” said Ole Wieth Christensen, Route Development Manager, Aviation, Copenhagen Airports A/S.
SkyEurope already has services out of Copenhagen Airport, among them to Prague.
