New service to London City

From the autumn of 2005 passengers can get from Copenhagen to central London even faster and easier than today. On 31 October 2005, British Airways opens a new route between Copenhagen Airport and London City Airport. The route will be operated by SUN-AIR using Dornier 328 aircraft seating 32 passengers.

London City Airport is located only a short distance from the City of London finance district and the new Canary Wharf business district and less than half an hour away from the centre of London. The new route is therefore especially attractive to business people.

There will be two daily departures from Copenhagen on weekdays: one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with return flights from London later in the morning and in the evening. In addition, passengers will have the option of combining their tickets with British Airways’ six daily frequencies between London Heathrow and Copenhagen.

The new route brings the total number of frequencies between Copenhagen Airports and the four airports in the London area to about 20 per day: Heathrow (SAS, British Airways, Varig), Gatwick (Maersk Air), Stanstead (easyJet) and City (British Airways/SUN-AIR).
