New charter service to Romania

One of this summer’s new charter destinations will be Romania. Schreiber Tours offers its guests something very different than traditional beach holidays on the Black Sea.

They offer package tours to the town of Bäraciu in Transylvania northwest of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, with 2,500 inhabitants. The tours focus on cultural experiences in a country unknown to most people.

Some of the things to see and do in the area are: visit Count Dracula’s castle at Bran, visit one of the local vineyards, or swim in a salt water lake. Other activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing or hunting.

Romania is only now being discovered as a holiday destination, and the new service opens the doors to a part of Europe that was closed to the world until 1989.

There will be direct flights from Copenhagen Airport to Tirgu Mures in central Romania operated by turboprop aircraft of the type ATR 72 from Cimber Air seating 60 passengers.

The first tour tales off on 27 March 2004, and there will be departures every Saturday through 16 October 2004.
