More Danes want to travel to Prague
Intensified competition and higher route frequencies have almost doubled the number of passengers flying to Prague, according to Copenhagen Airport’s traffic figures through September 2004. The number of people travelling to Prague by air increased by 43% in 2004, or 25,521 more passengers than last year.
SAS and CSA (Czechoslovak Airlines) have long offered flights to Prague. In April 2004 Sterling began serving this destination as well, and Smart Wings joined the club in July.
Prague is one of the destinations with the greatest increase in scheduled traffic this year, ranking number seven on the list of this year’s highest-growth destinations. Other cities competing for a position as highest-growth destinations are Niederrhein, Bristol, Newcastle and Berlin-Schönefeld. The destinations showing the highest growth rates so far this year are Stockholm and Reykjavik.
